Medical Software | WPF Interface Design & Engineering
Independent C#/XAML interface design and implementation integrated with C++ controller engineering for a precision-critical medical robotics workflow.
I independently designed and implemented the WPF application interface in C# and XAML without a separate design team specifying it. I decided which controls, forms, shapes, positions, layouts, and interactions were needed to make the technical workflow usable.
I integrated the interface with the C++ controller software I developed for the robot that reproduced recorded patient breathing patterns for radiotherapy-related testing.
The rewritten controller improved reproduction precision by 51%. The work combined interface decisions, C++, C#, automated and manual testing, and release-quality diligence for a high-reliability medical environment.
My Brainlab work also included ExacTrac medical software and an 8% improvement in image-registration precision.
